linuabout 6 years agoMore frequent bus services.
Buses are less frequent and full most of the time. Sometimes three buses in same route are having sorry, bus full board causing public to wait for atleast an hour before getting into bus. This is really a big issue in cases when we have to keep the time. Some buses don't have air-conditioning. I suggest that government should run some buses to help the public.Bus routes are also not covering all areas.

I hope council could organise non religions play group/ parent’s club/grandparent’s club for children and carers to attend. The modern day family structure- nuclear family style may cause loneliness, isolation and disconnection to many stay at home primary children carers, usually the mothers. I hope council is able to create a more supportive environment for these mothers, to help them feel connected and engaged in a community.
1Sydney Residentabout 6 years agoLess cars in Chatswood CBD
Prioritise pedestrians over cars in the Chatswood CBD. The whole of the Chatswood CBD should be designated as being a Shared Zone and speed limit reduced to 30km/h. Albert Avenue and Archer Street should be made 1 traffic lane in each direction and footpaths widened. Remove all kerbside car parking along Victoria Avenue and widen footpaths. At the moment when people think of Chatswood the first thing that comes to mind is the horrendous traffic. Let’s change this perception by discouraging driving to Chatswood. Chatswood is probably the most public transport connected suburb in the whole of Australia so there really shouldn’t be a need to drive to Chatswood. Chatswood is a vibrant suburb let down by the poor traffic congestion. Make Willoughby the most walkable and pedestrian friendly LGA in NSW.

We need to look at the Singapore model discussed recently on Q&A on how to do Density well. Chatswood CBD is not too bad, when you consider the Concourse, as well as facilities like the synesthetic football pitch amongst the shady trees of Chatswood High School oval. Bad examples include the meriton apartments on Epping Road just before the Lane cove River.. They need to drive everywhere.
