Take a look at our February Forum
Welcome to our fourth month of the Online Community Panel! We have been thrilled with the quality of the feedback so far and are looking forward to hearing some more great ideas and suggestions this month. As always the popular 'Open Forum' is available for you to have you say on any local issues that are important to you. Last month some of the key topics were parking, busking in Chatswood Mall, noise restrictions, youth activities and bike hiring.
There have been many good discussions since the launch of the Online Community Panel (OCP) in November, and these can still be viewed by clicking in the 'key links' section of the forum.
This month we would love to hear your feedback on the Willoughby City News publication. There is a forum for you to give your feedback and also a quick four question survey which you can complete by click on the 'Quick Survey' tab.

January Online Community Panel forum
The panel expressed a desire to talk about several hot topics in 2012. One of these was the issue of entertainment and activities for young people in and around Willoughby. We are particularly interested to hear from young people; parents of teenagers; teachers and people involved in providing services and activities for young people and also the community in general.
As always our Open Forum is available for you to discuss any issue to do with the local and regional area.

Again some fantastic feedback in our December discussion.
The December Discussion received some great feedback. Online Community Panel members as well as other community members were invited to give feedback on a new website being developed to help promote Chatswood. You told us what should go on the website and what could Council do more to help promote Chastwood as a tourist destination?
As always our Open Forum generated some interesting local issues and ideas for future discussion in the online community panel. Check them out. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts.

Online Community Panel
Media Release
Willoughby City Council is delighted to announce the upcoming launch of the Online Community Panel, a new online engagement forum for community members to 'have a say' in council's decision making and provide council with valuable feedback on important local issues.
Beginning in November 2011, the Online Community Panel will be run through the online forum Have Your Say Willoughby, and is an easy, safe and convenient way for residents to contribute ideas and opinions about key issues being considered by council.
Online Community Panel members will be required to make at least four comments a month during a six month period, with opportunities to lead discussions on important issues, attend council events and win prizes for contributions.
"When it comes to important issues such as council planning and prioritisation of works, community input and consultation is extremely important to ensure that council meets the majority of the community's needs," said Willoughby Mayor, Pat Reilly.
"I invite community members to get involved in this great new initiative by jumping online and helping us make the best decisions for the future of Willoughby," he said.
For further information about the Online Community Panel, contact 9777 1000 or email@willoughby.nsw.gov.au
