The Draft Management of Contaminated Land Policy identifies the following key objectives. Now we want to know if we got them right.
The objectives of the Policy are to:
establish principles that Council will adhere to in the management of contaminated land
establish a framework of legislative requirements, guidelines and procedures for officers to follow
ensure Council exercises its functions relating to the development of contaminated land with a reasonable standard of care and diligence
ensure that changes in land use will not increase risk to human health or the environment
ensure a public register of known contaminated land and land that has been subject to investigation is maintained
ensure that adequate information is provided on planning certificates on the condition of land
ensure that information is provided to support decision-making
Please take a few minutes to review the Draft Management of Contaminated Land Policy in the 'Document Library' section of this page or at Level 4 of Council’s Administration building at 31 Victor Street, Chatswood from 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
